Under the slogan "Catch the rhythm with the notes of happiness - Let love live" as part of the "Centers of Excellence" project, the final event of the "Dušo Basekić" PPU participants was held last night at the Cultural Center in Bijelo Polje.
The rich cultural and entertainment program began with the singing of the national anthem performed by preschooler Luka Vlahović, and throughout the evening, children from all educational units took turns on stage with recitations, songs, and plays.
Director of the "Dušo Basekić" Public School, Dijana Kovačević, said that this event celebrates what these children excel at, which are: singing, rhythm, playing, acting, original music, modern dance, traditional games, choral singing and body music.
"The theme of this year's centers is music - the universal language of the world that connects us. Music is the soul of the universe, the wings of the mind, the flight of imagination, and life to everything," emphasized Director Kovačević.
In addition to student Irina Milovanović and the talented Asja Džogović, solo performances were also given by kindergarten students Simona Vujičić, Luka Vlahović, Džana Hamzić, Viktorija Kalić, and Aleksandar Damjanović.
Accompanied on the piano by professors Julka Vukićević and Almir Martinović, who were also presented with certificates of appreciation at the end, as well as Asja Džogović, Irina Milovanović, and professor and musician Rafko Šabanović.
Coordinator and educator Elida Džogović, who led the program, said that during the four years of implementation of the "Centers of Excellence" project, significant results have been achieved, that it has increased children's motivation, contributing not only to the individual development of children, but also to the strengthening of the entire educational work in the kindergarten.
"This is a special moment for all the children, their families, and all of us who had the honor of being part of a wonderful journey through the world of music. Our children have learned, explored, developed, and today we celebrate all their successes together," said Džogović.
