The 103rd birthday of the educational institution was celebrated today with a special cultural and entertainment program at the Secondary Vocational School.

On this occasion, the adapted gym was opened by the Minister of Sports in the Government of Montenegro, Dragoslav Šćekić.

Thanks to the "Hemiias" foundation, the school hall, three classrooms and toilets in the new part of the building have been adapted and equipped.

School principal Zoran Vuković said that throughout its rich history, the school has developed and changed, and that today it has grown into a reputable educational institution.

"This school is not just an educational institution, but has become a pillar of the economic development of our municipality and the wider region. For more than a century, we have been building knowledge, skills and the future of generations that drive the local economy. Therefore, it is our shared responsibility to continue investing in strengthening its capacities and modernizing education," said Vuković, recalling the good results in the teaching process and the numerous awards won by students in numerous competitions.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth invested around 40 thousand euros in this project.

Addressing the audience, Šćekić emphasized the value of this project, pointing out that the gym is not just a space for physical activity, but a place where young people learn life values.

"This hall is not just a physical space. It is a place where disciplines that go beyond the curriculum are taught - perseverance, team spirit, respect for the opponent and, perhaps most importantly, the fight with oneself," said Šćekić.

He emphasized that investing in sports infrastructure is not an expense, but an investment in a healthier and more active future for young people.

"The value of this investment is not measured only in euros. It is measured by the smiles of the children who will grow up here, the victories that will be celebrated, but also the defeats from which we will learn," said Šćekić.

The opening was attended by the Minister of Regional and Investment Development Ernad Suljević, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation - Dragan Marković, and Director of the Directorate for Sports Infrastructure at the Ministry of Sports and Youth - Milan Jančić.
