The Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation, with the help of monthly donors and business partners, provided assistance in the form of food and clothing for 50 socially vulnerable families.
"The packages contained basic necessities and food worth around 50 euros. In addition to the aforementioned assistance to beneficiaries who need it most, assistance was also provided in the form of clothing donated to the Foundation by citizens for further distribution to socially vulnerable categories of the population. In addition to this action, donors have enabled us to provide financial assistance and assistance in the form of other goods this month for five families from Montenegro living in poverty," said Ana Radonjić from the Foundation.
As she pointed out, they are approached daily by a large number of individuals and families living in poverty and in need of some kind of assistance, which indicates that the quality of life in our society is at a low level and that the involvement of the entire community is needed.
"The largest number of people are reporting from Nikšić, Podgorica, Bijelo Polje, Plav, Bar and Ulcinj. The number of beneficiaries from all municipalities fluctuates and changes almost on a monthly basis, and it is very difficult to provide assistance to everyone who needs it," said Radonjić.
She thanked all volunteers, monthly donors, citizens who make one-time donations, and socially responsible companies whose contributions enabled the realization of this and numerous other humanitarian actions.
Special thanks are due to the company VKM Solution doo from Danilovgrad, which once again provided flour for socially vulnerable citizens of Montenegro, as well as to the company Lazine doo for the donation of 120 liters of milk.
According to Radonjić, they are also grateful to the partner organization, the Mentorium Foundation from Podgorica, with whose support they successfully implemented the distribution of aid in Podgorica.
"For many years, the Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation has been dedicated to providing assistance and support to individuals and families living in poor socio-economic conditions on the territory of Montenegro. With the help of donations from citizens and socially responsible companies, the Foundation continuously organizes numerous actions to collect and distribute the necessary funds to meet the basic needs of citizens. Through previous initiatives, assistance has been provided to numerous families, including the distribution of food, school supplies, clothing, shoes and toys for children from socially vulnerable families. I must emphasize that from the funds collected through donations from monthly donors, as well as one-time donations from citizens, we provide almost daily assistance to citizens who contact us from all over Montenegro," Radonjić emphasized.
They invited all citizens who are able to contribute and donate via the website. www.volontericrnegore.me or by payment to the Foundation's bank account: 520-9194-41.
"Every donation, regardless of type, makes a significant difference in the lives of those we help," said Radonjić.
