Women in Montenegro must not and will not be left to their own devices in the face of abusers, said Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Zdenka Popović.
"With a sense of deep concern and indignation, I most strongly condemn the shameful harassment to which a journalist from the City Television was subjected by an employee of the Clinical Center of Montenegro. This is not just an individual attack, but an attack on all women who do their jobs every day, with professionalism and integrity. The threats, insults and indecent messages that our fellow citizen suffered represent a brutal violation of human dignity and a serious alarm for the entire society," she said.
He says that the efficient and decisive reaction of the competent institutions in defending rights and security is a step that shows that Montenegro does not turn a blind eye to violence, no matter who it comes from.
"We stand firmly on the side of every woman who dares to raise her voice against violence, and we will oppose cases like this even more resolutely," said the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
