Addiko Bank and its employees donated 2,5 thousand euros to the Public Institution (PU) Home for the Elderly in Bijelo Polje in support of the repair of material damage caused by the recent storm.
The bank said that as part of the "Addiko Cares" initiative, bank employees once again showed what the power of togetherness looks like in action.
It is reported that at the holiday humanitarian market, on April 16th at the bank's headquarters, 20 Addiko volunteers prepared homemade specialties, spreading the scents of tradition, smiles and humanity.
"Other colleagues contributed through the purchase of vouchers and personal donations, raising 1.250 euros," the statement added.
It is stated that Addiko Bank doubled that amount.
"A total donation of 2,5 thousand euros will be paid to the "Bijelo Polje" Nursing Home, in support of the repair of material damage caused by the recent storm," the statement added.
Addiko Bank's Corporate Communications Director, Nataša Milović, said that they are proud that their Addiko Cares initiative has traditionally brought colleagues together around true values - humanity, solidarity and care for the community.
"This year we decided to support the Public Institution Home for the Elderly in Bijelo Polje, in order to help in the renovation of their facility and the creation of safer and more comfortable conditions for the elderly members of our community, who, although in their third age, are still an extremely important and irreplaceable part of society," said Milović.
Director of the Bijelo Polje Nursing Home, Predrag Tončić, said that help is coming at the right time.
"The storm that hit us during the winter left serious consequences on the facility and infrastructure. The support of Addiko Bank and its employees means a lot to us and allows us to rebuild the damaged parts of the institution faster and with better quality," said Tončić.
The humanitarian action, as stated, once again showed how joint effort and solidarity can have a strong impact in the community.
"Addiko Bank continues to provide support to those who need it most, through the Addiko Cares initiative and the activities of the Addiko Volunteer Club," the statement concludes.
