At the Bijelo Polje Health Center, employees in the services of selected doctors for adults, selected pediatricians, and selected doctors for women performed a total of 2024 examinations during 294.805.
This is stated in the Health Center's 2024 Work Report, which will be presented at the next session of the Municipal Assembly.
"643.571 prescriptions were prescribed. The number of prescriptions prescribed per patient is 2,18. The total number of orders for ampoule therapy in 2024 is 28.761, while the number of home visits by the selected doctor's team is higher than the previous year and is 192. Analysis of data related to preventive examinations shows that the total number of preventive examinations in 2024 is 19.612," the report says.
It is stated that the total number of visits to specialist examinations outside the Health Center is higher than the previous year and amounts to 72.133.
As the report shows, the selected doctors for adults also had their hands full, examining 233.068 patients, with a monthly average of 19.422 patients.
"Each selected adult doctor examined an average of 2024 patients in 13.709, or 1.142 patients per month. A total of 3.830 preventive and 231.779 curative services were provided. 6.808 interventions and procedures were performed," the report, signed by the director of the Health Center, states. Mirjana Varagic.
At the end of 2024, a Plan for visiting elderly and infirm people living in rural areas was created, thus enabling and bringing healthcare closer.
"Also, a plan for preventive examinations by ophthalmologists and internists has been created for patients suffering from type 2 diabetes who have not been examined by these specialists in the last year, all with the aim of preventing complications that may occur in these patients. A flu vaccination campaign was also carried out during the year. According to the data we have, a total of 1.242 patients were vaccinated, of which 872 were over 65 years of age. The intervention room is equipped with new equipment, as well as a new and modern ECG machine," says Varagić.
In the field of health care performed by the selected pediatrician, in the service of the selected doctor for children, a total of 54.883 patients were examined, a monthly average of 4.573 patients.
"632 interventions and procedures were performed, or 105 per selected team. 13.487 preventive services were provided, while 58.491 curative services were provided. Each selected pediatrician examined an average of 2024 patients in 9.147, or 762 patients per month," the document states.
During 2024, HPV vaccination of girls aged nine to 18 continued, and 154 girls were vaccinated during that period.
In the field of healthcare activities performed by an elected gynecologist, 2024 registered patients were recorded in 7.459.
"In 2024, the selected gynecologist issued 2.594 microbiology referrals. The total number of small, medium and complex procedures performed was 4.817, of which the most common were ultrasound examinations of women (2.099) and swabs taken for analysis (2.189). 2.295 preventive services were provided, while 5.110 curative services were provided. The selected gynecologist examined 6.854 patients, a monthly average of 571 patients."
It is stated that in order to provide better health care, the institution hired four gynecology specialists from the Bijelo Polje General Hospital, and last year it continued to operate a school for pregnant women, supported by experts in the fields of gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, nutrition, psychology, and dentistry.
