The Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Ministry of European Affairs, with the support of the EU projects Europe House, EU4ME and Municipalities for the EU, are marking Europe Month across Montenegro, through activities that will last from May 3 to 30.

As announced by the European House, the goal of this year's celebration is to bring European values ​​closer to all citizens - in every part of the country - through art, culture, education, play and ecological actions.

The central celebration of Europe Day will be held on 10 May in Podgorica, organized by the European House and in partnership with the Capital. An EU Fair will be organized in the University Park, where the embassies of EU member states, as well as numerous European projects, ministries, local governments and manufacturers, will present their activities. A gift to all citizens on Europe Day will be a concert by the band Perper at Independence Square on 10 May at 20 pm.

The day before, under the auspices of the EU Delegation, the symphony orchestra will perform a preview of the symphony "Europe" by the Montenegrin guitar duo Bulatović-Nikčević at the Music Center.

The Ministry of European Affairs, through the EU4ME project, in cooperation with local governments, is organizing an educational and sports program for children "European Tour - Games without Borders" in Nikšić, Žabljak, Pljevlja, Berane, Petnjica and Bar, from 9 to 20 May. The competition is intended for seventh and eighth grade students of local primary schools, and through games that combine physical, mental and educational challenges, children will learn about the European Union and its values, develop team spirit and promote healthy lifestyles.

In each city, the event will be attended by ministers and government representatives, along with high-ranking officials from European institutions, embassies of EU member states, and famous athletes from each host city.

The "Municipalities for the EU" project, in cooperation with the municipalities of Andrijevica, Plav, Danilovgrad, Bijelo Polje, Plužine, Tivat, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Gusinje, Rožaje, Kotor, Tuzi, Šavnik, Cetinje, Budva, Mojkovac and Kolašin, will implement a program that includes environmental actions, fairs, knowledge quizzes, art workshops, sports competitions, cultural events and the promotion of European cultural heritage.

The celebration starts on May 3rd from Kolašin, with the Biogradska gora vertical race, and ends on May 30th in Mojkovac with the "Zlatni Ćemer" folklore festival, which will round off the month of celebration and European unity.
