The Society of Young Ecologists Nikšić (DMEN), together with students from the Nikšić Gymnasium "Stojan Cerović" and professor Marija Lazarević, and under the leadership of the greatest advocate and volunteer, and unofficial guardian of the Blace Eco-park, Milo-Jok Radović, officially opened the tenth season in the aforementioned eco-park.
"As a ten-year tradition dictates, this year we celebrated the beginning of the season with a group of enthusiasts interested in environmental protection issues and carried out an activity that contributes to the improvement of the park and ultimately to a better environment for visitors. This spring, two benches were installed, donated by the Municipal Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic, and five decorative birdhouses that we received from our fellow citizen Slobodan Bastijančić in the past period," reads the DMEN statement, signed by Miodrag Karadžić.
As stated, the introduction to this year's activity was an interactive lecture on the environment and the Blace locality held for Nikšić high school students who, as it is said, demonstrated a high level of knowledge of topics related to the nature of Nikšić and ecology.
"The activity is just one in a series that will be implemented during this season in our and your park. We are pleased that the Municipality of Nikšić is increasingly helping to maintain and improve the condition of this site, but we also ask visitors to maintain and protect the Eco Park in an appropriate manner, because we often find an image of the park that does not contribute to a responsible community," said Karadžić.
