The Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation signed memoranda of understanding and cooperation with the Center for Social Work for the Municipalities of Nikšić, Plužine and Šavnik and the Center for Social Work Danilovgrad.

The Foundation emphasized that this represents a significant step towards strengthening mutual cooperation in order to improve social protection and provide assistance and support to socially vulnerable categories of the population of Montenegro. They recalled that last year they signed a Memorandum with the Center for Social Work for the Capital City of Podgorica, the municipality within the Capital City of Golubovci and the municipality of Tuzi.

"I believe that the formalization of cooperation with social work centers in Montenegro is an important step towards creating a more solidary, humane and inclusive society. Partnership and cooperation with institutions that are the pillar of support for socially vulnerable citizens is of utmost importance for our mission. Statistical data indicate that in Montenegro, every fifth citizen and every third child lives at risk of poverty. This data tells us that the involvement of the entire community is necessary, because only by working together can we influence the creation of better living conditions for the most vulnerable," said Mirko Pavićević, Executive Director of the Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation.

He said that the Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation will continue to work dedicatedly in providing assistance and support to those who need it most and to develop partnerships with institutions and the civil sector with the aim of building a society with equal opportunities for all.

"By signing this document, we are not just confirming an agreement on paper, but are beginning a strategic partnership based on shared values, solidarity, commitment and responsibility towards the community. We have recognized the Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation as a partner with whom we share the vision of a society in which helping the most vulnerable is a priority," said Nikola Anđušić, director of the Danilovgrad Center for Social Work.

He is convinced that cooperation will result in visible changes on the ground and that the Memorandum represents further proof of commitment to creating sustainable partnerships with institutions and organizations, with the aim of empowering citizens and promoting active participation in social processes.

"The memorandum formalizes a partnership that will bring a series of concrete activities in the coming period for the benefit of the citizens of Danilovgrad and bring real changes in the lives of those who need help the most. The plan is to jointly implement volunteer and humanitarian actions, education, as well as provide support to socially vulnerable families and individuals. Through this cooperation, institutions and the civil sector join forces with the clear goal of ensuring that no one is forgotten and that help reaches where it is needed most," said Anđušić.
