Preventive dermoscopic examinations of moles will be performed this year at the Clinic for Dermatovenerology of the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) in May, the month dedicated to the fight against melanoma.
Examinations will be performed without a referral from a selected doctor on May 8, 9 and 15 from 14 am to 12 pm, while Euromelanoma Day will be marked on May 13 by performing preventive mole examinations from 15 pm to XNUMX pm.
All interested citizens can schedule an examination on May 6th and 7th from 13:14 to 020:412 and from 450:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., by calling XNUMX/XNUMX-XNUMX. The Clinical Center notes in a statement that the number of examinations is limited.
The Dermatovenerology Clinic will dedicate May 16 to preventive mole examinations for employees of the KCCG, which will be carried out between 14 am and XNUMX pm, which, as announced, is also the first organized action of this type for healthcare workers at that institution.
The goal of organizing preventive examinations is to raise awareness about the prevention of malignant skin tumors and adequate protection from UV radiation.
On this occasion, a press conference will be held at the Clinical Center on Thursday, May 8, starting at 10 a.m., at which the following will address the press: Medical Director of the KCCG Đorđije Krnjević, Director of the Clinic for Dermatovenerology Mirjana Bakić, Dermatovenerologist-oncologist of the Clinic for Dermatovenerology and National Coordinator of the Euromelanoma Campaign Ana Popović, Medical Oncologist of the Institute of Oncology Nada Cicmil, and Head of the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Zoran Terzić.
