Seniors are bearers of knowledge, experience and values, their active participation is the key to strengthening solidarity and intergenerational understanding, said the Minister of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography, Damir Gutić, in his address at the Senior Fest 2025.
The Ministry of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography announced that Senior Fest 2025, an event dedicated to the elderly population, organized by the "Grabovac" Home for the Elderly from Risan, was officially opened at St. Tryphon Square in the Old Town of Kotor.
The statement states that Gutić "on this occasion announced further development of community life support services, including home help for the elderly, day care centers and programs that enable quality life for the elderly in the community in cooperation with the Municipality of Kotor."
"Senior Fest brings together users of nursing homes in Montenegro, promotes togetherness and shows that respect for the elderly means building a society in which everyone has a voice, place and support," the Ministry of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography said in a statement.
