The Paštrović family is an example of how the strength of community, the wisdom of heritage, and devotion to the homeland are passed down through generations, said President Jakov Milatović during a working visit to Petrovac.
The president's office said that Milatović spoke with the residents of Petrovac about everyday life, the challenges they face, but also the potential that the area offers.

Milatović emphasized the importance of preserving local traditions and togetherness, pointing out that the Paštrovići are an example of how the strength of community, the wisdom of heritage, and devotion to homeland are passed down through generations.
Petrovac, he said, is a place where natural beauty and cultural treasures intertwine, creating an authentic connection with the past and openness to the future.

The president's office said that Milatović paid special attention to the topic of sustainable tourism, saying that only tourism that respects nature, culture, and local communities can bring long-term development.
Such an approach, as he pointed out, contributes to a better quality of life for citizens and a better appreciation of the rich diversity of Montenegro.
Milatović visited the "Mirko Srzentić" Elementary School, where he met with the principal Ivana Kurtović to learn about the work of that educational institution.

In a meeting with students, who shared their thoughts on education and future schooling, Milatović emphasized the importance of continuous investment in knowledge, as the foundation for a safer and more progressive future, both for individuals and for society as a whole.
He pointed out that the development of education is key to building an open, just and modern society, in which knowledge, education and work are fundamental values.
As part of his visit to the Paštrovići, Milatović visited the Praskvica Monastery, a sacred site from the 11th century, where he toured the rich monastery treasury and spoke with Abbot Dimitrij Lakić and abbot Kliment Boljević.
Milatović pointed out that this monastery has been a meeting place for the written word, art and spirituality throughout the centuries, and that it represents the most important religious and social center of all the Pastr tribes.
The visit to Petrovac, as stated by the President's Office, represents support for preserving the importance of local communities, promoting education, historical memory, and the cultural heritage of Montenegro.
