The establishment of the "Dragana Loncović" award is a sign of gratitude to the brave nurse and a sign of respect to the nurses and health workers in Pljevlja.

Dragana was the first victim of the coronavirus among medical workers in Pljevlja. She worked in a Covid clinic and passed away on August 16, 2020 at the age of 36.

The winner of this year's award has been working for 46 years in the Surgical Department - Intensive Care at the Pljevlja General Hospital.

Mira has spent her entire working life working shifts, without a single sick day, dedicated to caring for the most seriously ill patients, with an inspiring humanity and sacrifice. And in the most difficult moments, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she selflessly moved to the Infectious Diseases Department to help the most vulnerable.
