A drop in temperature can be expected this coming weekend, and during the day the mercury in the thermometer in the north of Montenegro will not exceed 10 degrees, and although some online forecasts announce this, the chances of snow in May are not great, meteorologist Dušan Pavicevic told "Vijesti".
According to him, Montenegro will have mostly dry weather for another two or three days.
"Although there will be occasional instability. It will be generally relatively warm," explained Pavicevic.
Dry weather with plenty of sunny intervals, he points out, can be expected on Wednesday and Thursday. However, temperatures will drop from Friday.
"In Podgorica, the temperature will be around or slightly below 20 degrees from Friday to Monday. When it comes to maximum daily temperatures, in Žabljak it will mostly be below 10 degrees. There will be more cloud cover and precipitation on Friday and Saturday," he stressed.
After that, says the "Vijesti" interviewee, there will be a "gradual increase in temperature."
"The temperature increase will be noticeable in the north and south of the country. So nothing dramatic is happening," said Pavićević.
He emphasizes that snow, in the upcoming period, is unlikely to fall in the north.
"But there may be cold mornings in the north on Wednesday and Thursday. After that, the chances of snow are not great. Of course, we are not talking about 1.600 and 1.800 meters above sea level here. The north wind may bring some snowflakes, but it is not snow that would require any special attention," said Pavićević.
The weather forecast for the next two days is changeable, according to the website of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology (ZHMS). According to information available on the website, Wednesday will be mostly sunny.
"In the north in the morning and afternoon, there will be some moderate cloudiness. Wind weak to moderate, variable direction. Morning air temperature from 0 to 14, daily high from 13 to 24 degrees. In Podgorica, it will be mostly sunny. Wind weak to moderate, variable direction. Morning air temperature around 12, daily high 24 degrees," it says on the ZHMS website.
