The Gambling Administration and the Youth Network of Montenegro signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that envisages the joint implementation of activities aimed at preventing underage betting and educating young people about the risks and consequences of gambling addiction.
This was announced today by the Gaming Authority.
The statement says that the document was signed by the acting (acting) director of the Administration, Spasoje Papić, and the secretary general of the Youth Network of Montenegro, Vladimir Perazić.
"Workshops, information campaigns and research are planned that will contribute to a better understanding and combating this problem among young people," the statement said.
The Administration added that their cooperation with the Youth Network of Montenegro is a continuation of the Administration's efforts to improve the protection of children and youth through partnerships with relevant institutions and organizations.
"We would like to remind you that similar memorandums have already been signed with the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports and Youth, which further strengthens the network of support for young people in the prevention of risky behavior. The formation of a joint working group will ensure coordination and monitoring of the implementation of agreed activities. The signing of this memorandum represents an important step towards a more responsible approach to the prevention of the negative consequences of games of chance among young people, through education, information and raising awareness about the importance of responsible behavior," said the Gambling Administration.
