At the Municipal Poetry Reciting Competition in Kolašin, which was organized by the Kolašin Cultural Center and the "Ljubo Anđelić" City Library, under the auspices of the Municipality, the best young poetry reciters arrived from Kolašin elementary and secondary schools.

In the older category, first place was won by Ivana Čobeljić, a student of the "Braća Selić" Secondary Mixed School, reciting the poem "Irreversible Songs" by Mika Antic. Second and third place in the same category went to Milića Pajović and Jelena Todorović, also students of that school.

In the middle category, the best reciter was Ena Čepić, a student of the "Risto Manojlović" Elementary School, who recited the poem "Is There Anywhere?" by Jelena Božović. Second place went to Anđela Rakočević, and third place to Anđela Jeknić, both students of the same school.

In the younger category, first place was won by Andrej Lović, a student at the Risto Manojlović Elementary School, reciting Antic's poem "Drhtava pesma". Second place went to Ema Vučinić, and third place to Andrej Šćepanović.

The jury of the event, which is being held for the third time, consisted of Jelena Nenezić, actress and member of the permanent ensemble of the Montenegrin National Theatre, also the president of the jury, Kemal Musić, writer, publicist and director of Ratković's Poetry Evenings, and Gorica Ilinčić, librarian and representative of the organizers.

Nenezić said that today Kolašin "breathed in the rhythm of verse and emotion."

"I am honored to have been part of this small but extremely significant celebration of words. I felt the talent, effort and love for poetry in each of your verses. The jury's decisions are never easy, because behind each interpretation lies great dedication. However, you are all winners because you chose to speak poetry and share it with others - said Nenezić.

She said she hopes the competition will be an encouragement to students to continue reading, speaking, and living poetry.

In her address, Ilinčić emphasized the importance of spoken art and its contribution to the preservation of language, identity and cultural values.

"Reciting is much more than just reciting verses, it is the art of speech, a creative act that requires skill, talent and, above all, emotion. Dear reciters, today we expect you to show your creativity, confidence in public speaking and proper diction, to show your love for literature and the cultivation of language, as characteristics of national identity," said Ilinčić.

The event was officially opened by the Vice President of the Municipality of Kolašin, Miodrag Bulatović, who emphasized the importance of such events for the cultural life of the city and the support that the local government provides to young people. The program was hosted by actor Đorđije Tatić.
