The Protection and Rescue Service of the Royal Capital of Cetinje received a new fire truck today, which was handed over to them by Mayor Nikola Đurašković.
It is a special fire truck with a double cabin, a capacity of 5.000 liters of water and 500 liters of foam, which has four seats equipped with breathing apparatus, which "significantly improves the safety and efficiency of firefighters during interventions", the Royal Capital announced.
Đurašković said that the local government continues to invest in equipping and strengthening the capacities of the Protection and Rescue Service, with the aim of ensuring the safety of all citizens and an adequate response in emergency situations.
"Appreciating the need to continuously improve the capacities of this Service and create conditions for more successful and high-quality work, the Royal Capital of Cetinje has purchased a special vehicle for the Protection and Rescue Service. Cetinje firefighters have been the pride of the city and the entire Montenegro for decades, and the Royal Capital has been taking special care of their needs by regularly investing in improving the work of this unit," said Đurašković.
Acting Commander of the Protection and Rescue Service, Miloš Ćećanović, said that the new vehicle will significantly improve the operational capabilities of the service.
"The Protection and Rescue Service of the Royal Capital of Cetinje has such a vehicle for the first time and it will significantly improve operability and response, because we are currently using two vehicles due to a lack of equipment. I would like to thank Mayor Đurašković and the Royal Capital of Cetinje for their commitment to improving the work of our Service," said Ćećanović.
The value of the vehicle is 483.996,99 euros including VAT.
