The true strength of a society is reflected in the strength of its families, said the President of the Assembly of the Capital City of Podgorica, Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
A statement published on the website of the Podgorica City Council states that Borovinić Bojović opened the "Family Fest" event, organized by the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) Roditelji and Kreativa Lab, "whose goal is to promote family values and remind people of the importance of togetherness, love and mutual support within the family."
Addressing the audience, Borovinić Bojović emphasized that the family is the foundation of every society and the source of basic values that shape the individual from the earliest days.
"Life begins in the family - in the first embrace, in the support that is never lacking even when it is difficult. The family is our peaceful harbor, a temple of love, but also a space for mutual growth and understanding. The true strength of a society is reflected in the strength of its families," Borovinić Bojović emphasized.
She also recalled the words of Elizabeth Berg that "there is no going back" because "you are born into your family and your family is born into you," emphasizing that family is not just a biological connection, but a sense of belonging that transcends trends and changes in time.
"Family Fest reminds us that love lives in the little things - in a look, a hug, silence, and the words that mean the most. That's why I urge everyone to take time today, between their daily obligations, for those they love and show them how important they are," said Borovinić Bojović.
She wished everyone to enjoy the program, socializing, and shared moments, with congratulations on Family Day.
The announcement states that the seventh edition of the Family Fest festival is being held in the park of the Petrović Palace in Kruševac, under the slogan "Everyone to the park!", with the support of numerous partners and institutions.
"The two-day event is accompanied by an extremely rich and diverse program, which includes: scientific research and STEM zones with experiments, microscopic adventures, and interactive workshops, an entertainment and educational program with dance and music performances, plays, magic acts and fire dancing, sports, picnic and family zones with karate presentations, bicycle rides, board games and activities for all ages," the statement from the Capital City of Podgorica states.
