Next month, the city's roads, which are currently difficult to navigate due to work on the water supply network, will be paved.
A joint statement by the Municipality of Pljevlja and the Vodovod company states that work has been intensified to repair defects in the water supply network in the city area, in order to end the long-standing practice of digging up and repairing defects shortly after paving the streets.
"DOO 'Vodovod' has hired the company 'PAN inženjering' from Čačak, which identified about twenty defects in the city area, and in the coming days, DOO 'Vodovod' will work intensively on their removal in order to be ready for the asphalting of the streets. We ask citizens for their patience and understanding due to the difficult movement and traffic jams during the work, so that the work can be completed on time, in a quality manner, and the practice of digging up streets after asphalting is stopped," the statement said.
It is also stated that a contract was signed today between the Municipality of Pljevlja and DOO "Vodovod" for the reconstruction of the water supply and construction of the storm sewer in Sloba Dragaševića Street. The value of the works is 90.959 euros, and the deadline for the completion of the works is 60 days from the date of the contractor's introduction to the job.
The construction of a storm sewer system on this street will finally solve a decades-long problem for residents and the frequent flooding after rain that has caused problems and material damage to the residents of this street.
