Cybersecurity must be constantly improved, because cyber attacks are becoming increasingly complex, said Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj, adding that Montenegro's goal is to reach European Union (EU) standards in this field.
Today, he presented the potential of the Regional Cyber Capabilities Center to the President of Moldova, Maja Sandu, who is visiting Montenegro.
Dukaj, as announced by the Ministry of Public Administration (MPA), spoke about the challenges facing Montenegro from the cyberattack in 2022 to the present day.
He said that in that relatively short period of time, Montenegro has laid solid foundations for cybersecurity in Montenegro, which are the basis for further development.

"We realized that cybersecurity is the link that connects us all. As part of intensive efforts to improve it, and in cooperation with France and Slovenia, this Regional Center was created. I am proud to point out that, within my competence, I actively participated in this," said Dukaj.
He said that Montenegro has become a center for acquiring knowledge and exchanging experiences in this demanding field not only for the Region, but also beyond.
"Cybersecurity must be constantly improved, because cyber attacks are becoming increasingly complex, and that is why this Center is one of our greatest achievements," said Dukaj.
He said that the visit to Sando confirms that Montenegro has set its priorities well.
"We continue to improve Montenegro's cybersecurity in line with the standards set by highly developed countries," said Dukaj.

He assessed that there are many challenges.
"But our commitment to achieving EU standards is primary. We have proven that and will continue to prove it with results," concluded Dukaj. The MPA said that a presentation of the Regional Center was shown during the meeting.
Sandu, as reported, expressed satisfaction with the progress Montenegro has made in the field of cybersecurity, and wished it success in EU integration.
