The tender for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), a sewage network and the implementation of priority water supply measures in the municipality of Kolašin, estimated at several million euros and co-financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), has been cancelled because no bids were received by the deadline.
This capital investment was planned within the framework of the financial contract "Water and Sanitation in Montenegro", and included the construction of a sewage network approximately 9,2 kilometers long, the improvement of the water supply system, and the design and construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the Bakovići settlement.
The public procurement procedure was carried out in accordance with the FIDIC Yellow Book and the legislation of Montenegro, and under strict EIB rules. The official notice published on 15 May on the EU public procurement portal stated that “no tenders or requests to participate were received”, thus closing the tender without selecting a contractor.
The construction of the Bakovići WWTP was planned in two phases, with a total capacity for 6.000 population equivalents, and included a number of technically complex components, from biological wastewater treatment to modern SCADA control of the water supply system.
The new sewage network is planned for 3.000 residents in the city center, the Dulovina settlement, Breza, partially Smailagića Polje and Gornji Pažanje.
