With an open-air musical event, Budva officially opened the 2025 summer tourist season.
On the crowded plateau in front of the Old Town, in the presence of numerous citizens from all over Montenegro, as well as a large number of tourists, this year's season officially began.
The evening began with a performance by Marijana Zlopaša, who, as announced by the Tourist Organization (TO) Budva, accompanied by a band, confirmed her status as one of the most respected vocal artists on the regional scene.
"Although the weather conditions were not ideal, the people gathered brought me indescribable joy. This stage reminded me of my first performance – exactly 25 years ago at the 'Pjesma Mediterana' festival, when I performed the song 'Zašto te volim'. Everything tonight had a special emotional significance," said Zlopaša.
After her performance, the audience was further enthused by one of the most popular pop music performers in the Balkans - Saša Kovačević, who delighted everyone present with his hits "Ruka za spas", "Lapsus", "Slučajno", "Temperatura", "Prevarena", "Jedra" and the indispensable "Pakao".
"I am very honored to be part of this event. It is always a pleasure to be in Budva, both for business and private reasons. I always strive for songs to become hits. I believe in what I do and I consider myself blessed to make a living from what I love. What makes me happiest is that I have songs behind me that last and that the audience continues to love," said Kovačević.
The season opening ceremony was organized by the Budva Tourist Organization and the Budva Municipality, sending, as they stated, a clear message - the city is ready for another summer filled with rich cultural, entertainment and tourist content.
Tonight there is a concert by Dino Merlin at the Old Town Square.
