The Ministry of Public Administration (MPA) has completed all obligations from the Reform Agenda planned for the entire year in less than eight months, said the relevant Minister Maraš Dukaj, adding that this confirms their commitment to the reform process.
At the Donor Coordination Meeting, he said that the direction has been chosen and that it is only a question of how long it will take for the country to reach its goal - membership in the European Union (EU).
"We have chosen a direction. The only question is how long it will take us to reach our goal and become a full member of the democratic family of EU countries. I see today's gathering as another piece in the mosaic of our partnership and friendly activities," said Dukaj.
At the meeting, as announced by the MPA, the results of that department from the previous period were presented, as well as areas whose improvement requires the support of donors and relevant partners.
Dukaj thanked representatives of the diplomatic corps and international partners and emphasized the importance of partnership in achieving goals that will bring the country closer to membership in the European community.
He emphasized that international friends and partners are closely monitoring the work of the MPA and supporting the achievement of demanding goals.
"We have raised the issue of public administration reform to the highest and most urgent level of priority, and in less than eight months, the MPA has completed all obligations from the Reform Agenda planned for the entire year, thereby confirming our commitment to the reform process and creating conditions for using available EU support mechanisms," said Dukaj.
Director General Marija Hajduković presented the results achieved by the Ministry, but also the real challenges it faces, primarily in the areas of administrative capacity, coordination and digital transformation.
She emphasized that the donor support provided by international partners is already yielding results and that she expects continued cooperation so that the country can respond to the challenges in the EU accession process.
