The Senate of the University of Montenegro (UCG) has proposed that 3.311 students be enrolled in the first year of undergraduate studies for the next academic year.
The University of Montenegro announced that 1.225 places are planned for postgraduate specialist studies, and 2.010 places for two-year master's studies.
"When proposing the number of students for enrollment at all three levels of study, the Senate was guided by the standards of teaching quality, the number of teaching staff, the material basis for the implementation of an individual study program, as well as the appropriate ratio of the number of students to teaching staff," the statement says.
It is emphasized that the proposed number of students is based on the proposals of the councils of university units, while an integral part of these decisions is the Opinion with Explanations of the Center for Quality Improvement of the University of Montenegro.
It is stated that the licensing process for the undergraduate study program, Special Education and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Philosophy, as well as the master's study program in Gender Studies, which will be implemented at the Institute for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies, is still ongoing.
"It is expected that the decision of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation will be delivered in a timely manner, and therefore enrollment in the aforementioned programs for which enrollment places have been proposed is conditional on obtaining the appropriate license," the statement says.
The University of Montenegro said that the Senate's proposals will be submitted for further consideration to the Board of Directors, which will make a decision on the number of students to enroll in the aforementioned three levels of study, after which admission competitions will be announced.
