The Ministry of Maritime Affairs will continue to provide full support to the work of the Maritime Safety Administration, with the aim of ensuring that the Montenegrin waters remain a safe and regulated maritime area even during the summer months when increased traffic intensity is expected, announced the relevant Minister Filip Radulović.
During his visit to the Maritime Safety and Port Management Administration, he said that he was satisfied with the high level of professionalism and dedication of the employees.
Radulović met with Director Nebojša Kaljević. During the visit, Radulović toured the Navigation Safety Center, which monitors all maritime traffic in the territorial waters of Montenegro 24 hours a day.
During the meeting and tour of operational capacities, the level of readiness of the Administration for the upcoming summer season, which is traditionally characterized by increased intensity of maritime traffic, was discussed.
Radulović emphasized the importance of efficient coordination and timely response of all competent services in order to maintain safety at sea, protect human lives and the marine environment.
Kaljević informed Radulović about the key activities that have already been implemented, including technical and personnel readiness, as well as improvements to the surveillance system and communication with seafarers and tourists.
