In a fire that broke out at around 10.30:XNUMX this morning, for reasons that have not yet been officially determined, in a family residential building near the "Kamelija" hotel in the Tivat settlement of Donja Lastva, one person suffered minor injuries and caused significant material damage.
According to the commander of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Municipality of Tivat, Milorad Giljača, the fire broke out on the first floor of a family house.
"Upon arriving at the scene, we noticed smoke coming from the building on the second floor. We immediately began evacuating and searching the building, and then extinguishing the fire. The fire was quickly brought under control, but the damage was significant," Giljača pointed out.
It is suspected that the cause of the fire was a technical malfunction, or rather, sparking in electrical installations, but this will be finally determined by the investigation.
The intervention involved 12 members of the Tivat Osšina Protection and Rescue Service with five fire trucks, and they were also assisted by members of the Voluntary Fire Department "Krtoli" from Radovići.
Almost all city services were involved in the field - including firefighters, members of the Tivat Security Department, the Tivat Municipal Police, and the Ambulance Service, whose ambulance intervened twice.
Some of the members of the Tivat Fire Department who intervened in the heavily smoky rooms were transferred to the Tivat Health Center for preventive examinations.
