This year, the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Montenegro is once again opening its doors to new generations of students who want to achieve professional success in the fields of politics, international relations, journalism, media, social policy and social work.
A total of 2025 budget places have been allocated for enrollment in the first year of undergraduate studies in the 2026/140 academic year, distributed by programs as follows: 60 places for the Political Science - International Relations program, 40 places for the Media Studies and Journalism program, and 40 places for the Social Policy and Social Work program.
This decision was made based on the proposal of the Council of the Faculty of Political Sciences, and adopted at the session of the Senate and the Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro. The proposals have been sent to the Government, and after receiving approval, a competition for enrollment will be announced at all organizational units of the University.
No entrance exam is required for enrollment in undergraduate studies. Candidates with a high school diploma or a four-year vocational secondary school are eligible to apply. The ranking of applicants is based on their high school grades, in accordance with the Regulations on the Conditions, Criteria and Procedure for Enrollment in Undergraduate Studies of the University of Montenegro.
Interest in this faculty is the same from year to year, and places are mostly filled in the first term, notes the University of Montenegro.
"The Faculty of Political Science provides students with a quality education that combines theoretical and practical knowledge. Practical classes are a mandatory part of the study process and are implemented in cooperation with numerous institutions, including embassies, ministries, municipalities, media outlets, social work centers and non-governmental organizations. Students have the opportunity to become familiar with a real professional environment during their studies, thus becoming competitive on the labor market, both in Montenegro and internationally," the statement reads.
Details about the competition, deadlines and application process will be published on the official website of the University of Montenegro. More details about the Faculty itself are also available in the Student Information Booklet.
