Members of the Maritime Safety and Port Management Authority (UPSUL) rescued Russian citizen IB (40), in the open sea, about 700 meters between Red Beach and the pilot buoy near Bar.
UPSUL stated that the incident was reported by a vessel of the Navy of the Army of Montenegro, after which the SAR-5 rescue boat immediately sailed from the Port of Bar, with a member of the Border Police Sector.
"The visibly exhausted swimmer was pulled from the sea and transported to Pier 5 in the Port of Bar, where the Maritime Navigation Safety Inspectorate issued a misdemeanor order in accordance with the Maritime Navigation Safety Act," UPSUL said.
They appealed to citizens and tourists to adhere to safe swimming rules.
"Swimming outside secured and fenced areas of bathing areas, whether managed or natural, is not permitted and poses a serious risk to life and health. Such behavior can lead to exhaustion, disorientation or even drowning," the statement said.
It is emphasized that safety at sea is a shared obligation and responsibility of everyone.
UPSUL called on citizens and tourists to behave responsibly so that the summer season can pass without accidents.
