The Municipality of Budva has not given consent to the Public Company for Coastal Zone Management to allow trucks with pontoons and maritime safety equipment intended for the expansion of the Budva Port by 70 utility berths to enter the contact zone of the Old Town. This was announced to "Vijesti" by this state-owned company, which provided a copy of the communication they had with the local government.
"Due to new traffic circumstances in the Old Town area imposed by the Municipality of Budva, we are unable to meet your request," reads the response from the Municipality of Budva to the request of the Public Company Morsko dobro for permission to allow the passage of an official vehicle near the Old Town - Pizana beach.
The Coastal District stated that this is a continuation of the unprofessional attitude of the local administration, which is working against the Port of Budva and that public company.
As an example of a selective and exclusive hostile attitude towards Morski dobro, the public company stated that on the other hand, the Municipality of Budva, or rather its departmental secretariat, allowed a private hotel company to enter their trucks that were delivering materials and equipment for the wedding of a famous Montenegrin football player.
