A councilor of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in the Capital City Assembly, Filip Terzić, said that the director of City TV Vladimir Otašević is "the record holder for breaking the law."
"According to reports, under the leadership of Vladimir Otašević, Gradska TV has violated as many as seven laws and three regulations – including violations of the Law on Local Self-Government, internal acts... The prosecutor's office on vacation? Although these failures have severely damaged the integrity of the city's public service, the responsible authorities, especially the competent prosecutor's office, are not initiating investigations," Terzić wrote on the X network.
He adds that the rule of law is on the verge of collapse, when institutions remain silent "in the face of such violations, it is clear that the rule of law is on shaky ground."
"Exposing illegalities is not enough, urgent action is needed by inspections, prosecutors, and administrative-legal mechanisms to protect the public interest and re-establish legality. If institutions continue to remain silent, citizens' trust in the media and the legal system will be irreparably damaged. The rule of law must not remain only on paper, it is time for concrete steps," said Terziž.
