Podgorica's "Deponija" ended last year with a profit of almost one and a half million euros, according to the company's annual report.
According to that document, the total revenues of "Deponija" amounted to almost eight million, and the company's expenses were slightly more than six million euros.
Councilors of the Capital City Assembly are scheduled to discuss the work of several public institutions and companies during a session scheduled to begin on July 3rd.
As stated in the work document for 2024, "Deponija"'s revenues from the disposal of municipal waste to legal entities amounted to more than 4,2 million euros.
"Revenue generated from invoiced sales for the provision of municipal waste disposal services to individuals (citizens) in the amount of 2.350.467 euros. Revenue from the sale of recyclable materials in the amount of 265.999 euros generated on the foreign and domestic markets... Other revenues amount to 746.543 euros...", reads the report signed by the director of the company Aleksandar Božović.
The costs of materials for production (spare parts, materials for maintenance of fixed assets), according to a report published on the website of the Capital City Assembly, and the consumption of fuel and electricity, cost the "Landfill" a total of 571.162 euros.
"The depreciation cost amounts to 1.093.201 euros and is 26,45 percent higher than planned, and consists of depreciation of buildings in the amount of 181.634 euros, depreciation of sanitary bath number four in the amount of 326.272 euros, depreciation of equipment in the amount of 254.202 euros, depreciation of machinery in the amount of 263.106 euros...", the report states.
The company "Funeral Services", as stated in the report signed by the director Radonja Vulikic, earned 66.587 euros last year. Their income amounted to 2,4 million, while expenses were 2,3 million euros.
"Revenue from the main activity amounts to 731.990 euros and accounts for 30 percent of the total income. Income from additional activities amounts to 1.715.455 euros. The largest income is from graves and amounts to 894.452 euros. Income from funeral equipment, clothing and flowers amounts to 444.032 euros," it says.
For works on cemeteries under the jurisdiction of "Funeral Services", that company allocated almost half a million euros.
Thus, they allocated a total of more than 42.000 euros for cleaning, watering the paths, mowing, and raking at the “Čepurci” cemetery. They allocated almost 45.560 euros for removing dry grass and wilted flowers, washing roads and paths, and mowing at the “Zagorič” cemetery, which covers an area of 60.000 meters.
"Funeral services" allocated a total of 20.221 euros for the maintenance of the "Donja Gorica" cemetery, and more than 21.000 euros for the final resting place "Tološi".
Total revenue of the company "Communal Services", managed by Predrag Scepanovic, for last year amounted to more than 6,3 million euros, and expenses amounted to 6,07 million.
Thus, among other things, the costs of construction materials, public lighting, electricity, tools and inventory cost "Communal Services" a total of 2.586.000 euros. It is also emphasized that during the previous year, 1.624.789 million euros were allocated from the budget of the Capital City for public lighting, excluding value added tax (VAT).
"The costs of production materials amounted to 1.636.291 euros and represent the costs of production materials, i.e. basic materials consumed in the process of carrying out business activities (lamps, bulbs, ballasts, concrete and metal poles, various types of cables, etc.)... The total costs of production services amount to 825.055 euros, i.e. the percentage of the plan is 644 percent. Such a large deviation in the realized costs of production services compared to the planned ones was due to the costs of production services related to the costs of designing and developing adaptable traffic management in the central city zone, which were realized in the amount of 479.755 euros...", the document specifies.
