The Budva Democrats called on the authorities to determine who the real owners of the illegally erected temporary structure near the Budva Municipality building are.
"Today, the citizens of Budva have another confirmation of what our colleague Franeta has warned about several times in his previous addresses: Budva, unfortunately, is still being built without any order, plan or vision. Temporary buildings are springing up without criteria, as temporary monuments to the elements and privileges. Now, even for those who may have had doubts until yesterday, it is completely clear - the adoption of the Temporary Locations Plan has been reduced to a mere farce. All of this is part of a carefully tailored arrangement of political partners from the so-called 'project' coalition - Budva Our City, DPS and SDP - in order to create conditions for the privileged actions of close associates," they point out in the Budva committee of the Democrats.
But, as they add, the farces don't end there.
"The introduction of a 'quiet zone' in the Old Town, as well as the ban on parking in its surroundings, represent another attempt to simulate order. Because it is difficult to talk about 'quiet' when open discos are still operating unhindered a hundred meters from that area, reminding the whole of Budva every day that the season - and chaos - is in full swing. At the same time, the move to ban parking around the Old Town further financially undermines the functioning of the Parking Service, since its two most profitable parking lots are now being repurposed for the needs of the residents of the Old Town. And as if that were not enough, our 'project managers' have made sure that the citizens of Budva are greeted at dawn by the sounds of excavators and pneumatic hammers from construction sites that sprout across the municipality, as a kind of musical background for a summer morning. We hereby once again call on the competent institutions to determine who the real owners of these scams that are devastating our municipality are," they state in this party.
