Three houses were threatened in the fire that broke out today in the Nikšić settlement of Rubeža, Slavko Tadić, commander of the Nikšić Protection and Rescue Service, told "Vijesti".
He also said that this fire is a pure example of the human factor and malicious intent.
Tadić said that the fire was reported to the Nikšić Fire and Rescue Unit at 13.30:XNUMX p.m.
"With the quick intervention of our members, the fire was extinguished, the houses were saved, and our fire protection inspector (ZOP) after the on-site investigation, and based on evidence from the burned area (about 2.000 square meters), filed a report with his colleagues from the Nikšić police against unidentified persons. Although the summer fire season has begun, and although the Order on the Prohibition of Burning in Open Spaces is in force, a number of our unscrupulous fellow citizens and neighbors are turning a deaf ear and endangering the wider community by giving themselves the right to clean their mini-dumps, their yards, borders and roads by setting them on fire," said Tadić.
He also said that yesterday they extinguished and reported to the Nikšić police a fire on Trebjesa, which they believe was also deliberately set.
