Works on the construction of a new road, which connects the Bar settlement of Šušanj with Bulevar 24. novembra, have been completed, after being halted in March due to the Baranin Đuro Marđonović filed a complaint against the Municipality of Bar, and the court temporarily stopped the construction.

The Secretariat for Property and Investments unofficially told "Vijesti" that they resolved all disputed issues with Marđonović by mutual agreement and continued with the final works, after almost five months of missing the deadline for the completion of this street.

From the end of February until the end of June, the road was unfinished in the central part, in front of the Marđonović house, which was fenced off with construction warnings from the company "Bemax", which was in charge of carrying out the works.

In the first week of March, the Basic Court in Bar issued a temporary measure prohibiting the Bar Municipality and "Bemax" from demolishing parts of Marđonović's house, namely the staircase, terrace, or entrance plateau to the house, and the septic tank "or any other disturbance of his property, as well as carrying out any work on the plot belonging to Marđonović."

The measure has been withdrawn, unofficially stated by the Secretariat for Property and Investments, as part of the agreement they reached with Marđonović.

After concreting, as they stated, only the finishing works remained - mounting traffic signs, installing public lighting poles and horizontal signage.

Marđonović did not respond to questions and calls from "Vijesti" regarding developments in the case he initiated before the Bar court.

In February, this Baranin filed a criminal complaint against the Municipality for abuse of office because, as he claimed at the time, they wanted to demolish a part of his house that was not part of the expropriation because of the road, thereby violating his safety and property.

Apparently, workers from “Bemax”, who are building a local road that will connect Šušanj with Bulevar 24. novembra, marked his septic tank and stairs. The part of the road around the septic tank was the only unfinished part on the road.

The Municipality also noted that as fair compensation for land and land rights for the construction of the road, the Municipality paid one and a half million euros in the expropriation process, and specifically to Đuro Marđonović a total amount of 138.689 euros, of which 113.399 euros were paid for land, 17.600 euros for building rights, and 7.690 euros based on estimated plantings.
