In order to improve the availability of public services, the Municipality of Budva today opened a Citizens' Bureau in Petrovac, which will enable citizens and visitors to complete their daily administrative duties quickly, efficiently and without the need to go to Budva.
The Mayor of the Municipality, Nikola Jovanović, emphasized that the opening of the Citizens' Bureau is the result of responsible local politics and direct dialogue with citizens.
"By opening the Civic Bureau with all the facilities where citizens can exercise their rights equally in both Petrovac and Budva, the foundations of the right to local self-government of all residents of Petrovac, as well as those who choose Petrovac as their tourist destination, have been laid today," said President Jovanović.
The opening of the bureau is particularly important during the intense tourist season, as announced by the Municipality of Budva, when Petrovac records a multiple increase in the number of residents and guests, which will significantly relieve the central administration in Budva, speed up the process of processing requests, contribute to better organization of the overall work of the local administration and raise the quality of service to a higher level.
The President of the Budva Municipal Assembly, Petar Odžić, emphasized that the opening of the bureau is a response to a long-standing need of citizens:
"This is the first concrete step in building an institutional presence in Petrovac. We are trying to respond to needs that are not directly within our jurisdiction, such as healthcare and education. We have already acquired an emergency medical vehicle that will be stationed exclusively in Petrovac, and we are also trying to ensure the bank's presence during the summer season," Odžić pointed out.
The President of the Petrovac Local Community, Dušan Gregović, thanked the representatives of the local government for listening to the needs of the community, and announced future infrastructure projects.
"Petrovec needs to solve the problem of the sewage network, reconstruct the promenade, as well as develop the old school building into new facilities that would create jobs. We are working to finally see visible changes," said Gregović.
"We have made a significant effort, we will continue to act in the same direction, which is to be a true service to all citizens because this government exists for the citizens, not the citizens for the government," concluded President Jovanović in his address.
By implementing this project, the Municipality of Budva shows that it carefully listens to the needs of its citizens, confirming its commitment to the principles of modern, transparent and citizen-oriented administration, adapted to the needs of modern life and the development of the local community.
