Minister of Sports and Youth Dragoslav Šćekić congratulated Aleksa Damjanović, a student at the "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium in Podgorica, on winning the bronze medal at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad. This is a historic achievement, as it is the first medal for Montenegro at that competition.
"On behalf of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and on my own behalf, I would like to congratulate Aleksa Damjanović on winning the bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad, as well as his mentor, Prof. Dr. Željko Jaćimović."
"You have carried the name of our country in the most beautiful way and for the first time raised our flag at this prestigious competition. Your result is a source of pride for all of us, but also confirmation that Montenegro has potential and individuals who can reach the highest heights, which is an additional incentive for us to invest in the knowledge, effort and excellence of young people," Šćekić said in his congratulatory message.
