Thanks to the cooperation of the fire and rescue unit from Nikšić, the Army of Montenegro and the Operational and Communication Center of the Directorate, two major fires were extinguished - in the area of Krupačko Lake and the village of Crkvice, in Oputni Rudine.
"Today, the full and efficient cooperation of our Fire and Rescue Unit with the OKC and the Army of Montenegro was demonstrated in the field. With the help of a military Bell 412 from the air and our firefighters on the ground, two major fires were extinguished in the area of Krupačko Lake and Crkvica in Banjani. We would like to thank the helicopter crew, as well as the residents of the village of Crkvica for today's cooperation," the commander of the Nikšić Protection and Rescue Service, Slavko Tadić, told Vijesti.
As he said, in addition to these two larger fires, their unit had seven other outings, all of which involved extinguishing fires outdoors.
"We warn citizens to be careful so that their actions do not cause a fire and thereby endanger all of us," Tadić appealed.
