The Maritime Safety and Port Management Administration (UPSUL) successfully carried out two operations on Saturday and rescued four people in the waters off the Montenegrin coast, UPSUL announced.

It is stated that the interventions were carried out quickly and efficiently, without the need for medical assistance for those in danger.

As it is added, the first operation took place in Ulcinj, near the Albatros Hotel, when a rescue scooter with a lifeguard intervened after a report that two people in the sea were in danger due to strong sea currents.

"Thanks to the quick response, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who were unable to swim to shore on their own were rescued," the statement said.

UPSUL said that the second intervention was carried out in the evening hours on the inaccessible Crvena glavica beach near Čanj, after two Czech citizens, accompanied by a dog, became stranded and requested assistance through the Operational Communications Center (OKC 112).

"Due to the slippery and dangerous terrain, returning on foot was not possible, so the rescue was carried out from the sea using the SAR-5 vessel," the statement added.

It is stated that the action was carried out by the SAR team crew in coordination with the relevant services, and the people were successfully evacuated and transferred to a safe coastal location.

"UPSUL urges citizens and tourists to adhere to safety recommendations, especially when it comes to moving in inaccessible areas and swimming in areas with strong sea currents," the statement said.
