RTCG Employees' Union: Does management think we don't see that they have taken away the workers' mouths for questionable tenders?

Does the management of Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) think we don't see that at the RTCG Council meeting the day before yesterday, they separated the mouths of workers for questionable tenders?, the RTCG Employees' Union announced today.

The union said that at its session held the day before yesterday, the RTCG Council decided to reduce the fund for gross employee salaries in 2025 by 277.000 euros through a rebalance and apparently redirect it to "some tenders that have become more expensive", but also to some other "more important" projects.

"And this was during the negotiation process on the Collective Agreement. The most interesting thing is the increase in the costs of maintaining the building and adapting the space. This item has increased from a huge 1.080.000 to 1.395.000 euros. In the last four years, as much as 3.707.500 euros have been invested in construction works. 311.000 euros have been spent on office furniture. In total, that's more than four million euros. For that money, we could have built a new RTCG building. In terms of investments, we are still incomparably more of a construction company than a media company," the statement from the RTCG Employees' Union, submitted by the Media Union of Montenegro (SMCG), states.

The RTCG Employees' Union asks - "Did management intend from the beginning to first reduce the planned budget for salary increases, which was included in the financial plan for 2025, and then negotiate higher salaries?"

"Will we still have to listen to the parrot story of how the union is blocking increases while management is faking negotiations? Does management still think that the workers can be satisfied with the little church proposed by them? Does it think that we don't see that at the Council session the day before yesterday, they separated the workers from their mouths for questionable tenders? Was the emotional address of the Council president at that session an announcement of an imminent farewell? Did anyone from the competent institutions understand that this situation at RTCG is unsustainable? Has the persistent ignoring of workers' appeals to provide a dignified life for all employees (not just top management) finally gone too far? Will this agony last much longer? A thousand yes, but...", the RTCG Employees' Union said.
