Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development Damjan Ćulafić, in his congratulatory message to citizens, said that Plav is an invaluable ecological and cultural asset of Montenegro.
"Located in the unique natural environment of the Lim River, Plav Lake, at the foot of the Prokletije Mountains, Plav represents an invaluable ecological and cultural asset of Montenegro. This value obliges us to continuously and responsibly care for the preservation of the natural environment, but also to promote sustainable development that will also affirm economic prosperity and social cohesion.
"The Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development is committed to improving environmental protection policies and supporting local communities in implementing innovative and sustainable development models. Our vision is Plav as an example of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, a place that recognizes the value of its natural resources and actively contributes to global efforts in the field of climate change and biodiversity protection.
"I sincerely believe that this date will be an occasion for affirming the vision of sustainable and prosperous development, in accordance with the highest environmental standards and principles. I wish all residents of Plav good health, happiness and success, with expressions of respect and the full support of the Ministry in achieving further development goals," Ćulafić said.
Ibrahimović: Blue has always been a symbol of coexistence, peace, tolerance and beauty
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Bosnian Serb Party Ervin Ibrahimović congratulated Plav Municipality Day, saying that Plav has always been a symbol of coexistence, peace, tolerance and beauty, and it is our duty to make every effort to give this city what its citizens, history and beauty deserve.
"The natural resources of Plav, with adequate institutional assistance, must and will be valorized in the interest of everyone in Plav and all of Montenegro. I am sure that everyone in Plav and Montenegro has an agreement on this, which will very soon reflect on the quality of life in Plav. Camaj: Plav is an example of dedication to true values such as tradition and respect for diversity
Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Nikola Camaj congratulated the Mayor of Plav, Nihad Canović, the President of the Municipal Assembly, Alen Balić, and all citizens of Plav on July 26th - Plav Municipality Day.
"Plav is not just a place of rest for body and soul in the landscape of Plav Lake and Prokletije, but it is a milieu woven with different cultures that forms the foundation of togetherness and mutual respect.
I am sure that the citizens of Plav are aware of the importance of preserving the historical heritage of this region, authentic nature and architecture, as well as a quality multicultural life.

It is precisely this balance between diversity and authenticity that makes Plav a unique place in the Montenegrin mosaic. The municipality of Plav has exceptional natural resources, diverse resources and great development potential. Plav Lake, Prokletije, natural beauties, but also a rich historical and cultural heritage, make this municipality one of the pearls of northern Montenegro. That is precisely why the state is obliged to additionally invest in the infrastructure, economy and tourism of Plav, so that its full potential can be used for the benefit of all citizens," said Nurković.
He believes that Plav will continue to be an example of harmonious development, preservation of identity and prosperity in the years to come.

Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Zdenka Popović congratulated the Municipality of Plav on its Day.
"The Plav Municipality Day is an opportunity to proudly recall the rich historical and cultural heritage of this region, but also to express respect for the efforts and dedication of all who contribute to its modern development. Throughout its history, Plav has been an example of unity, interfaith harmony and diversity, values that still represent the basis of social life in Montenegro today. In a time when we are facing numerous challenges, it is especially important to cultivate mutual trust, solidarity and responsibility, so that Plav remains an environment in which potential is recognized and opportunities are opened for all citizens, especially for young people who need to be provided with conditions for education, employment and life in their city. Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić congratulated the Mayor of Plav, Nihad Canović, the President of the Municipal Assembly, Alen Balić, councilors, local officials, and citizens on the Day of the Municipality of Plav.
"We celebrate this day by admiring the beauties of the Plav-Gusinje valley, surrounded by the Prokletije Mountains, Lim and Plav Lake, which leave numerous tourists and members of our diaspora breathless, who find in them the warmth of their homeland and the space to invest in their native land in good cooperation with the local government and the state. People stand above every material and natural wealth. That is why the multi-confessional harmony that your municipality nurtures is the pride of all of Montenegro. Minister of Sports and Youth Dragoslav Šćekić congratulated the Municipality of Plav on its Day.
"Plav is a municipality with special natural potential and resources, I believe that you will use them in the best way in the future so that Plav can develop in general and thus be a promising place for young people," said Šćekić.
Zogović: A shining example of harmonious coexistence
Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, and Vice President of the Democratic People's Party, Milun Zogović, congratulated citizens on Municipality Day.
Zogović stated that Plav has always been a shining example of harmonious coexistence of all its residents, with respect for the richness of diversity, with multiethnic and multiconfessional harmony, worthy of all respect.
According to Zogović, Plav, as a city of exceptional natural beauty, suitable for the development of tourism, is increasingly recognized as an important tourist center, fitting into the tourist map of Montenegro.
He pointed out that Plav has God-given resources on an area of 329 square kilometers on the headwaters of the Lim River, concentrated around Lake Plav, between the Prokletije Mountains.
Zogović also emphasizes that Plav is one of the cultural centers of northern Montenegro, and that throughout history it has produced many personalities from that sphere.

The Minister of Public Administration congratulated the citizens, the management of the Municipality and the employees of the municipal administration on the Day of the Municipality of Plav.

This day is an opportunity to look back on the results achieved, but also to jointly focus on further development, strengthening the local community and improving the quality of life of all residents," said Dukaj.
