The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dario Vraneš, and the Minister of Sports and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić, signed a contract worth 30.000 euros, which will finance the adaptation of the five-a-side football and handball fields at the city stadium "Pod Golubinjom".
A press release from the President's Office states that Vranes expressed gratitude for the support that the Ministry of Sports and Youth continues to provide to the Municipality of Pljevlja.
"This is a significant donation for our youth and all citizens of Pljevlja. The Ministry has previously shown understanding for the needs of our municipality - we received 41.000 euros for the repair of the roof of the 'Ada' sports hall. I hope that in the future there will be an ear for solving the problems of the Ada Sports Center," Vraneš emphasized.
Šćekić said that the cooperation between the Government of Montenegro, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and the Municipality of Pljevlja is yielding concrete results in the interest of citizens:
"Our goal is to implement as many projects in the field of sports infrastructure as possible and thus support local governments in organizing sports and social life in the best possible way. Pljevlja is an important municipality for Montenegro, and our good will and intention are aimed at creating better living conditions for young people and all citizens," said Šćekić.
He praised the work of local government.
"All projects so far have been implemented with high quality, which is proof that without joint cooperation with the Government and the Ministry, there are no real results. So far, in addition to this contract, we have financed the construction of a basketball court, supported smaller sports clubs and helped with the roof repair at the 'Ada' sports center."
After signing the contract, Šćekić and Vraneš toured the city stadium, the newly built basketball court, and the Youth Center.
