The Ministry of Transport, through the Traffic Administration, ordered the suspension of work on the main road in Virpazar and requested the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) to organize a different schedule for the work, in order to avoid traffic jams and congestion.

As announced by the Ministry of Transport, EPCG has begun work on a section of the main road in Virpazar, in order to ensure technical conditions for the safe transport of wind turbines intended for the Grozd wind farm.

"EPCG and all competent authorities are taking measures to ensure that the works are carried out as soon as possible, but on the first day they caused major congestion on this very busy road. The Gvozd wind farm is one of the most significant energy projects in Montenegro, which is being implemented in the field of renewable energy sources. Located in the municipality of Nikšić, at the Braići–Žurim–Krnovo location, this wind farm is a continuation of Montenegro's strategic orientation towards decarbonization and increasing energy independence," it was announced.

It is added that the Ministry of Transport has been involved in the reaction of citizens and drivers to traffic jams and congestion.
