Jaz: Marović family announces they will block access to the beach, revolted by the demolition of the ramp

An excavator from the executive service of the Municipal Inspection of the Budva Municipality demolished a ramp installed next to the house of the Marović family, despite the strong opposition of the members of this local family, who claim that it is their property.

The ramp was installed at the far eastern end of the beach, and the Marović family claims that they have been suffering from years of harassment because the alleged road is their land, which the state has allegedly illegally appropriated.

Kristina Marović told "Vijesti" that the ramp in question is located on a road that was owned by her family, Marović, for years, but that the state had taken it over without adequate legal basis.

She said that their family owns almost 20 square meters of land along the beach.

"That plot is currently under court registration, and the road - both according to the PUP and the DUP - formally does not exist. In order to even get to the disputed 'road', it is necessary to cross private property. Today, utility services, without notice or a valid decision, forcibly entered that private property and began demolishing the ramp. The background to this action is, by all accounts, an attempt to divert attention from the planned demolition of an illegal karting center, which has been operating without a permit for years and which, as is known, is owned by persons close to certain political structures," Marović pointed out and added:

"After four years of constant harassment by the tenants of the space below our restaurant - which included threats of rape, murder, and continuous public defamation - as the daughter of the owner of that property, I, Kristina Marović, declare that I will fence and protect my father's property, and access to Jaz beach through that land will no longer be possible for either tenants or visitors. Perhaps in this way the state will finally come to its senses and start acting legally, rather than serving the interests of individuals who act outside the law," Marović said.

Marović also said that the Municipal Inspection did not go to the field when the river that flows into the sea near their house was being filled in.

The Municipal Inspection told "Vijesti" that the decision was made and is final by the municipal road inspector. The decision was also confirmed by the chief administrator, after an appeal was filed.

The inspection will, as Marović said, also remove the advertisement for their restaurant.
