Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP Zoja Bojanić Lalović called on the Government, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation to "not undermine the dignity" of those who should be role models for young generations.
"With the implementation of the new software for calculating salaries, the salaries of a significant number of educational workers have been reduced. Despite the Education Union's request for dialogue, educational workers have still not been given an answer on how to apply the centralized calculation of salaries, but not to the detriment of those whose incomes are already insufficient. We call on the Government, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation not to undermine the dignity of those who should be role models for the younger generations," she said.
He says that an environment in which silence has become a etiquette for every kind of injustice and humiliation makes young people alienated and distrustful.
"What additional message are we sending them, then, if silence to the demands of those who educate them is the only response. We must not reduce an important educational mission to the level of a software error, because this is a living system whose strength is made up of people," the statement reads.
