The children's playground in the Durmitor National Park (NP) is now available to the youngest in a new look, announced the National Parks of Montenegro (NPCG).
The renovated playground was opened by children and the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development Damjan Ćulafić, who pointed out that it was built from certified, environmentally friendly materials and designed in a sustainable manner.
"I think this content will complement the offer in Durmitor National Park and make it even more attractive to children, which is our goal. I believe that through play, children will also come to love nature and I hope that it will simply become their manner," said Ćulafić.
Director of the NPCG Marinela Đuretić said that Durmitor, a pearl of world heritage, with its peaks over two thousand meters high, glacial lakes and canyons, is now gaining a space of joy for the youngest, where they will create their first memories through play and learn about the value of the nature that surrounds us.
"This project shows what we can achieve when the public and private sectors work together. Thanks to the cooperation with the company 'VHM Development', we are not only enriching the tourist and sports offer, but also contributing to the quality of life of the local community, which is our common goal," said Đuretić.
As she stated, this project is not just an infrastructure investment, but a symbol of shared commitment to the development of the local community, the promotion of healthy lifestyles, and the preservation of nature.
Đuretić thanked her partner, VHM Development, the owner and organizer of the Durmitor Trail race, whose initiative and support were crucial to the realization of the playground renovation project.
VHM Development Director Vedran Roćenović said that this is a beautiful cooperation between the company, the local community and the National Parks, stating that their desire is to make Durmitor more beautiful at every turn.
"In addition to the fairy-tale nature and the space that surrounds us, our wish was to further enhance the space for the youngest, and I hope that a large number of children visiting Durmitor National Park will spend some of their time on this playground," said Roćenović.
The statement states that the complete renovation of the children's playground on the road to Black Lake is worth EUR 70.180.
