Čelanović: MUP violated Kotor's carnival tradition

Secretary General of the Social Democrats and representative of the European Union, Miloš Čelanović, says that the Ministry of Internal Affairs violated the Kotor carnival tradition last night.

"The head of the Ministry of Interior is a party colleague of the Mayor. Surely now the Mayor will 'tighten up' and demand accountability from his party colleagues. All this is happening because the ruling majority is continuously trying to suppress civil liberties! Shameful," Čelanović wrote on Iks.

At the International Summer Kotor Carnival held last night, during the presentation of the carnival procession, during the performance of the group "Kraljevina Sveta Vrača", an incident occurred due to the police opening the traffic prematurely. The members of the group eventually introduced themselves and performed in front of the main city gates. The organizers announced that it was a misunderstanding and apologized to the members of the group.

The group "Kingdom of the Holy Healer" wore a mask - a model of the Cathedral of St. Tryphon, in front of which there is a swimming pool and sun loungers. In addition, they carried a banner representing a sign from the construction site, which contains a photograph of the cathedral with a swimming pool and which, among other things, reads: "Collective housing facility with underground garage and swimming pool; Expert supervision: Slaven Radunović".
