The fires that broke out in several locations around Podgorica last night are still active this morning, and the most critical is still in Piperi, where a new hotspot broke out last night in Drezga and Cerovice.
This was announced to Television Vijesti by the director of the Ministry of Interior's Directorate for Protection and Rescue, Miodrag Bešović.
Apart from Piperi, the situation is bad this morning on Kakaricka Gora, and the road to Kuči is closed.
Gori also in Rogamim, in Smokovec, near Kokotim, Komani, Zeti, Barutani.
The Mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, also monitored the extinguishing of fires at several locations during the night.
The fire that broke out last night at a car scrapyard in Gornja Gorica has since been extinguished, and the Podgorica-Danilovgrad main road is passable this morning.
When it comes to the rest of the country, Bešović says that fires are active this morning near Šavnik, while near Čanj, where it was dramatic yesterday, the situation is better this morning, and firefighters were on duty in the field all night.
The fire flared up again during the night near Čanj due to strong winds, but the situation is a little better this morning, Bar Fire Chief Aco Vulević told Television Vijesti.
