President of the Municipality of Budva Nikola Jovanovic has made, at the proposal of the Municipal Commission for the Implementation of the Public Procurement Procedure, a decision to declare the offer of the Podgorica company "Penta Sistemi" for the procurement of five specialized electric vehicles as the most favorable and first-ranked.

This is stated in the decision that "Vijesti" had access to, and which was signed by Jovanović.

Previously, the tender consisted of two lots, the first of which related to the procurement of two electric vehicles, which was canceled by Jovanović two weeks ago, while the second lot related to the procurement of five electric vehicles.

The Podgorica company, as stated in the decision, offered 115.125 euros for the purchase of specialized vehicles, while the Municipality had foreseen in the tender that it would allocate 116 thousand euros from the city treasury.

The second lot refers to the procurement of five specialized electric vehicles, for which 116 thousand euros were allocated, excluding VAT. As stated in the specification, this concerns the procurement of one electric vehicle for the transport of passengers and persons with disabilities, with a capacity of six seats, including seats for the driver and a person with disabilities. The procurement also includes one electric vehicle for the transport of goods with an aluminum container, as well as three electric vehicles for the transport of goods.

This will partially realize the idea of the first man of Budva that tourists and residents of the Old Town in the contact zone of that cultural and historical monument be transported by specialized electric vehicles, but also that supplies for catering and other facilities will also be carried out using these vehicles.

On July 7, the Municipal Public Procurement Service opened bids for the tender that was announced on June 12, and which envisaged the procurement of seven vehicles.

From the city treasury for this public procurement, as stated in the public invitation that "Vijesti" had access to, it was planned to allocate 150 thousand euros, and an additional 31.500 for value added tax, a total of 181.500 euros.

As stated in the tender, the first lot concerns the procurement of two electric passenger vehicles, for which 34 thousand euros were allocated, excluding VAT. The municipality requested the delivery of two vehicles with six seats each, including the driver's seat, with a maximum speed of 35 km/h.

The summer season is slowly coming to an end, so the idea of specialized vehicles will, by all accounts, have to wait a while longer.

Almost four months ago, Jovanović announced radical measures for the contact zone of the Old Town, primarily that a traffic ban would be introduced, and that deliveries to catering facilities, as well as passenger transport, would be carried out exclusively by specialized electric vehicles.

At the first and so far only meeting of the Coordination Body for Season Preparation, held in mid-April, Jovanović announced that a location would be designated where food and other supplies for catering facilities would be delivered, and from there, transported exclusively by electric vehicles to catering and retail facilities.

"The vehicles will be charged using regular sockets and will be operated by a person hired by the municipality. The goal is to enable easier delivery and transportation without disrupting peace and security within the walls," the Municipality of Budva previously announced.

150 thousand euros from the city treasury for this public procurement were planned to be allocated, and an additional 31.500 for value added tax, a total of 181.500 euros.

On June 15, the Municipality of Budva introduced a new traffic regime in the contact zone of the Old Town and the promenade with the aim, as they explained, of improving the tourist season.

The first phase included strict control of the entry of vehicles for supply purposes, which will be allowed only until 11 am.

The second phase of the new measures was expected to be implemented by July 1, and included the relocation of parking for residents of the Old Town to the location near the former JAT, and a complete suspension of motor traffic in the contact zone of the Old Town and the promenade.
