A restrictive water supply regime has been in effect in Nikšić since yesterday.
"We inform service users that, due to extremely unfavorable hydrological conditions, there has been a significant decrease in the yield of Vidovan springs. In addition, we are recording a high percentage of irrational, inappropriate and illegal consumption of drinking water, primarily in suburban settlements, which is why the water supply system is no longer able to provide water in sufficient quantities to all service users. In order to ensure continuous and reliable water supply in the territory of the municipality of Nikšić, the planned exclusion of suburban settlements from the water supply network, or the introduction of a restrictive water supply regime, is inevitable," the Nikšić Water Supply Authority said, as reported by RTV Nikšić.
The disconnections will be carried out according to a set schedule in the time interval from 7:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m., and the settlements that will be disconnected are divided into three groups: Group: Kočani, Poljica, Vitalac, Štedim, Crnodoli, Grebice, Mokra Njiva (except for the Brezovik hospital), Glibavac, Miločani, Zavrh, Group: Dragova Luka, Čemenca, Humci, Oštrovac, Rubeža, Dragovoljići, Group: Ozrinići, Bršno, Straševina, Gornje Polje, Šipačno, Orah, Šume, Lukovo, Kličevo (except for the part of Trebješka Street where the Nursing Home is located) and Bogetići.
The exclusions begin according to the previously announced schedule, meaning the first group will be excluded today, the second tomorrow, and so on.
"A vehicle with drinking water has been provided for the excluded group of settlements, which will be delivered by calling 067 327 627. The aforementioned restrictive regime remains in force until further notice. We will inform the public of any changes in a timely manner," concluded the Water Authority.
