In order to urgently resolve the procurement of only the most necessary parts for two helicopters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) that are out of service, it is necessary to allocate around 50.000 euros, and the aviation fuel reserves of the helicopter unit of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro have been reduced to five active days of work due to increased activities.
After a telephone session, the Government specified that the costs of hiring a helicopter are around 1.400 euros per flight hour, of which around 600 euros are the costs of propulsion equipment, so the current estimate is that the total number of hours of all helicopters hired for this task will be no less than 350 hours, meaning that it is necessary to provide financial resources in the amount of 300.000 euros.
This is stated in the Information on the need for financial resources necessary to ensure the implementation of urgent fire protection tasks and the rescue of property and lives of citizens of Montenegro, which are implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense, which was delivered to the media after the telephone session.
